MUSHROOM BACON DIP RECIPE
We are loving sunshine-filled afternoons in the backyard with a cold drink, some delicious mushroom dip, and toasted crostini bread. This dip features crumbled bacon, tender mushrooms, melted cream cheese, and flavorful worcestershire sauce.
- 7 strips bacon, cooked & crumbled
- ½ onion, chopped
- 1 package mushrooms, sliced
- 1 package cream cheese, cut into cubes
- 2 tbsp worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ½ cup sour cream
- Toasted crostini bread or crackers for dipping
Chop up the bacon and brown in a skillet. Set aside. Keep about ¼ of the bacon drippings in the skillet. Add the onions and mushrooms and saute until soft. Add the cream cheese, worchestire sauce, soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Stir over low heat until the cream cheese is melted. Add the cooked bacon and sour cream. Cook thoroughly and mix well. Serve immediately with toasted crostini bread or a selection of crackers.
